Full-spectrum, Ultraviolet, or Infrared Solar Simulation Systems

Solar Simulation Systems provides illumination approximating natural sunlight in the full-spectrum, ultraviolet, or infrared ranges. The purpose of the solar simulator is to provide a controllable indoor test facility under laboratory conditions, used for the testing of solar cells and other materials.

Full Spectrum

Full Spectrum solar simulators use a light source that replicates natural sunlight at the surface of the Earth and includes ultraviolet, visible and infrared energy bands.

Infrared

Infrared light solar simulators use a light source that replicates all or a portion of the IR spectrum of sunlight at the surface of the Earth.

Ultra Violet

Ultraviolet light solar simulators use a light source that replicates all or a portion of the UV spectrum of sunlight at the surface of the Earth.

Talk to the experts

There are many tests and applications that call for Solar Simulation in the automotive, material testing, photovoltaic and other industries. EYE Applied Optix solar simulation systems focus on the use of light source spectral energy uniformly applied to a target surface. Test characteristics may include vehicle emissions, material degradation, photovoltaic performance, material or component thermal expansion, and others.
